Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu gave information about this scheme in Hoshiarpur. He said that the Farishta scheme is going to be implemented in Punjab. 142 new Aam Aadmi clinics will open in
Garhshankar village Roorkee, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that there has been a revolutionary change in health services in the state through Aam Aadmi clinics and now more and more sub-division and district hospitals. Health services will be strengthened here too by providing more facilities. On his first arrival in Hoshiarpur, the Health Minister was given a guard of honor by a contingent of Punjab Police.
The Health Minister said that the Punjab government has presented a people-friendly budget. Every class will be benefitted. He said that the Health Department has so far opened 504 Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab. By the end of March, 142 more Aam Aadmi clinics will be dedicated to the public. He said that opening of Aam Aadmi Clinic has greatly benefited the people as apart from primary checkup, lab tests are also done free of cost here. Medicines are also being given free of cost.
He said that CM's Yogashala would be started to make people health conscious. On the question of basic facilities in the hospitals, he said that work is being done in a planned manner to remove the shortage of staff in the hospitals.He said that more and more recruitment is being done in the health department and cooperation of IMA is also being taken to provide health services to the people.
He said that the entire system will be rectified by rationalizing and analyzing the gap in order to make health services accessible to the people. During this, he has asked the SDM to send a proposal to repair the village school and make the health sub-centre a common man clinic. He also assured to fulfill other demands of the village soon.
